Lionsgate has long positioned itself at the intersection of prestige and populism, releasing award contenders, beloved horror series, and everything in between. This tag collects Lionsgate-distributed films covered by Mother of Movies, such as Divergent and La La Land. Whether a surprise indie hit or a global blockbuster, Lionsgate’s slate reflects both market range and genre legacy, making it one of the most versatile distributors on the scene.
A Breed Apart (2026) blends animal horror with influencer satire. Content creators compete to ‘rescue’ dogs on an island, but the dogs have other plans. Hayden Panettiere, Grace Caroline Currey, and a pack of vicious German Shepherds make this a surprisingly entertaining B-movie ride.
Killer Whale (2026) review: Virginia Gardner deserves better than this Lionsgate theatrical misfire featuring studio-tank effects, melodramatic plot pivots, and wasted potential. A creature feature that sinks under technical deficiencies and narrative confusion.
The Strangers: Chapter 2 suffers from franchise ambition over storytelling sense. Renny Harlin’s technical skills can’t save a script that treats coincidence as plot development in this forest-bound sequel.
n The Surfer (2024), Nicolas Cage returns home only to face spiritual and social exile from a brutal beachside cult. Set in a warped vision of Australia, the film unpacks toxic masculinity, ritualistic control, and identity collapse under the sun-bleached weight of the past.
A true-crime junkie, three dates, and a serial killer — F** Marry Kill* sounds like a dream premise, but this dating app horror flick has all the right faces and all the wrong bits.
Writer and director James Croke’s Latency 2024 follows a gamer who trials the latest technology device good enough to read your mind.
